A Must Have Coffee Press

I am very pleased to say the least with the Espro P7 18oz and the P1 coffee presses and have completely gone to these over all of my other four (4) various manufactured French presses that I have used, some of them, for several decades … AND, I have completely abandoned and am bypassing my previous favorite… that of my espresso machine’s (Alex Duetto Espresso Machine) to that of preferring these P7 and P1 presses’ results… the P7 and P1 have been producing such a very clean and rich tasting cup that truly highlight each of my various home roasted bean’s flavors… and, in doing so, w/o hardly any effort whatsoever… I find very few “fines”, if any, left in my decanted results and the taste in my cups have produce so much more of a perfected cup by and with incorporating the use of paper filters within these two presses’ two staged filters… I find that both my black as well as my milk coffees do really shine with the use of these ESPRO products. The attached pictures show the resultant collected fines in the use of a paper filter in both the P7 and P1 … the P7 picture also shows both an ‘emptied’ black and a drunken cappuccino coffee cup being accompanied with its use of a paper filter and the P1 with a black coffee along with its use of a paper filter… BOTH of which yield as perfect a tasting cup as to what my home roasted coffee beans were meant to be tasted like… and, as such, both the P7 and P1 have accented my various bean profiles with the use of the paper filters to match the same as when I had used both of them without the use of a paper filter… BUT with the use of a paper filter, I find that there were barely any fines as a result as compared to the more pronounced fines that I had found while using these ESPRO’s without the paper filters within the bottom of my cups.
ESPRO sure has helped to simplify what a great cup of coffee should take with the use of their French press and I highly encourage anyone looking to find a very well constructed and thought out French press to go to the ESPRO presses.

Great gift

I bought this as a gift for my son-in-law. He hasn’t used it yet (it isn’t camping season here in NE Montana yet. But he absolutely loves the in-house one we also gave him. He uses it daily and it makes great coffee. His only quibble with that was the gasket was bent (crooked when put in the unit at the factory, which causes some grounds to get into the coffee, but he somehow turns it to lessen that).

Nice, could be better

While the thermos portion is sturdy and the double filter works as expected, the plastic portion broke off from the top the week I got it. Double filtering works well, but can be a bit messy when cleaning.
