Solid construction. Makes a great cup of coffee. Keeps it hot for a long time. Unfortunately I somehow ended up with the 12oz model. I thought I ordered the 16oz model but I guess I clicked on the wrong one. As a result, I'm not using it very often because 12 ounces is just too small a cup of coffee for me.

Simple and Effective

The price is ridiculously high for a chunk of aluminum but, it is the best French press around. No question about that. Would be nice if they could get the price down.

P7 filters well but doesn't keep coffee hot as advertised

I was very excited to receive my P7 press - I have looked for an insulated press for a while and decided to spend the (significantly more) money on this one. It is nice looking and filters well, but it definitely DOES NOT keep the coffee hot for hours as advertised - not even an hour later the coffee is tepid at best. Disappointed, considering a return.

Ineffective insulation

I paid extra, significantly extra, for the insulated model. This replaced an old standard french press which was also insulated. The coffee would be kept hot for hours in the old model while the coffee in the espro is barely luke warm after less than an hour. This is not "advanced insulation" as advertised.
